About Technic Engineering and Distribution

Over the past twenty years we have remained true to our initial aims in as much as the changing market forces have allowed. For example our original core business involved the supply of insulation, valves, unit heaters, coolers and condensers, cooling towers etc to the burgeoning tourism market in Turkey.

During Russia's Gorbachov years of 1989-1991, our biggest project (via a Finnish contractor) was to secure the contract for the supply of insulation for the "100 Cold Stores" which were to be installed all over Russia in an effort to improve the food chain supply from the farms to the table. We were very proud to have been a small part of that great endeavour and hopefully many ordinary Russian people are still benefiting from this project.

During the early nineties, the demise of the Berlin wall resulted in Russia opening its doors to the western market, which in turn meant we gained greater access to Russian contracts (via the Turkish contractors). We thus succeeded in supplying equipment to the Russian state gas company Gazprom Headquaters building in Moscow, the Russian Culture Centre in Moscow and numerous prestigious office bloacks and shopping centres in the main cities of Russia.

The subsequent independence of the various ex-Russian states, enabled us also to get involved with BAT (British American Tobacco) cigarette factories in Samarkand, Urgut and Tashkent in Uzbekistan, PM (Philip Morris) cigarette factories in Almaty Kazakhstan and Ukraine, Coca Cola and Pepsi factories in Samara, Tashkent and Moscow, Tcengiz Chevroil (oil refinery) in Kazakhstan and the Casino in Ashgabad/Turkmenistan. Business was good from the mid nineties to the early noughties!

With the advent of the internet and direct access for the one and all to our suppliers being made available, we noticed a decline in demand for an intermediary service such as ourselves. However, from the many telephone calls we receive from our old contractor friends, we are also aware that in many cases these directly-sourced products do not always offer the correct solutions and the subsequent costs of putting right the problems caused by incorrect equipment at remote construction sites can be prohibitively high. Our main aim is to minimise these costs to our customers by ensuring we supply the correct product at the right time.

To date we continue to supply equipment to large projects such as Astana International Airport in Kazakhstan, BTR (Banco Turco Romana) in Bucharest Romania, Tesco and Metro supermarkets in Turkey and Sakhalin Oil Refinery in Sakhalin Island (situated near the north eastern tip of Russia).

All these projects were negotiated via Turkish contractors who wished to get it right the first time round.
